Wellbeing in Motion: Bocconi’s power walks take over the heart of Milan
10 aprile 2026
Within this context come the Power Walks launched by Bocconi University as part of sPark of Change, the program accompanying the exhibition dedicated to the role of sport in contemporary society, in collaboration with the Wellness Foundation and Municipality 5, and embedded in the broader framework of Milano Wellness City 2030.
“Welfare and wellbeing are an integral part of a university’s responsibility towards its community and the territory it serves. With sPark of Change, we bring research outside academic spaces and make it accessible. The Power Walks combine dissemination, quality of life and dialogue with the city, giving concrete form to our third mission”
Francesco Billari
Rector of Bocconi UniversityThe Power Walks are not simple strolls, but dynamic and inclusive guided walking sessions, open to people of all ages and fitness levels. A simple and accessible activity that invites participants to rediscover the most natural human movement — walking — as a tool to improve both physical and mental wellbeing. Each session becomes a collective experience of mindful movement, urban exploration and connection with the local environment, fully aligned with the spirit of sPark of Change, which sees sport as a cultural, social and economic driver capable of generating positive impact on the community.
Activities are led by Master Trainers from Technogym, with the support of the Wellness Foundation: qualified professionals who guide participants through a structured journey combining movement education, posture and breathing awareness, motivation and a strong group dimension. The experience also includes a guided visit to the sPark of Change exhibition together with Bocconi researchers, offering deeper insight into the role of sport and its social impact.
“Promoting an active lifestyle means creating the conditions for healthy habits to become natural. Through Milano Wellness City 2030, we aim to foster a cultural shift and bring movement into everyday life. The Power Walks turn walking into a shared and educational wellbeing experience" - Nerio Alessandri

Natale Carapellese
President of Municipality 5 of MilanThe sPark of Change project was launched on February 6, alongside the start of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, transforming the Bocconi campus into an open urban pathway that explores the meaning of the Games: not only competition, but also a system of economic, social and cultural impacts. The exhibition unfolds along Via Gobbi through six thematic installations — invest, cheer, win, build, grow, impact — combining physical elements, digital content and augmented reality.
Alongside the exhibition, the project features a broader program of events and activities accompanying the Olympic period and extending beyond it, with the aim of shifting attention from the event itself to its long-term impact and fostering informed and widespread participation. sPark of Change is funded by the Lombardy Region as part of the “Giochi della Cultura” initiative and is included in the official Cultural Olympiad program of Milano Cortina 2026.
