Giuriati Gym: bringing movement to the heart of Politecnico di Milano
8 settembre 2026
On September 8, Politecnico di Milano officially inaugurated the new Giuriati Gym, a 1,500+ sqm facility fully equipped with Technogym equipment and dedicated to physical activity and movement on the Giuriati Campus.
The project is part of the vision of Milano Wellness City 2030, contributing to a city where wellbeing and physical activity become an increasingly integral part of everyday life, in the places where people study, work and live.
The inauguration was attended by Politecnico di Milano Rector Donatella Sciuto, Milan Deputy Mayor Anna Scavuzzo and Undersecretary of the Lombardy Region Federica Picchi. Representing Wellness Foundation, Director Federica Alberti opened a conversation with Olympic athletes Stefania Constantini and Federico Pellegrino, moderated by journalist Marco Cattaneo. The discussion explored the value of sport, movement and physical activity, both in and beyond the sporting arena.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the new Giuriati Gym, which immediately came to life with an open training session led by Technogym Master Trainers.
The inauguration of Giuriati Gym is a concrete example of how universities, institutions and private-sector organisations can work together to help build a more active, wellness-oriented Milan, bringing movement closer to younger generations and into the places where they live their everyday lives.
